ParkCity Medical Centre recognized as 2022 Malaysia Emerging Hospital

ParkCity Medical Centre, Kuala Lumpur clinched the coveted Frost and Sullivan Best Practices Award for “2022 Malaysia Emerging Hospital Company of the Year”.

ParkCity Medical Centre (PMC) in Kuala Lumpur has clinched the coveted Frost and Sullivan Best Practices Award for “2022 Malaysia Emerging Hospital Company of the Year”.

This is the second time the private hospital which is part of the Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care group is winning the awards. It previously won the award in 2020.

PMC chief executive officer Ch’ng Lin Ling attributed the award win to its state-of-the-art healthcare and commitment of its top-notch medical professionals to uphold internationally-recognized standards in patient care during the pandemic.

“We would not have been able to achieve this accolade without the significant efforts of our dedicated team of doctors and staff who continue to go beyond what’s expected in patient care.

“We also take much pride in the trust placed in us by patients and other stakeholders to deliver healthcare services par excellence. To this end, we remain steadfast in our commitment to provide our best for the community around us,” she said.

PMC adopts the patient-centric treatment approach utilizing innovative technology and cutting-edge medical solutions in tandem with patient demands to deliver safe and high-quality healthcare in challenging times.

PMC successfully implemented the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system in an effort to go paperless to adopt a more sustainable initiative across its operations. It is also the first among private hospitals in the Klang Valley to have the EMR system.

Ch’ng said PMC is on its way to becoming a smart hospital which entails more digitalization in keeping with the changing times.

“We are in the midst of developing our level 5 wards in the hospital and digital solutions are our primary focus to enhance efficiency and maintain high safety standards. Among other aspects, there will be smart televisions, artificial intelligence-enabled services for patient care,” she added.

The Frost and Sullivan Best Practices Awards are awarded to best-in-class leaders and organizations for innovative achievements and superior performance in their respective industries.

The 2022 awards were based on six stringent benchmarking criteria namely, Addressing Unmet Needs, Implementation of Best Practices, Leadership Focus, Performance Value, Customer Service and Ownership Experience and Brand Equity. PMC excelled in most of the criteria in the Malaysia Emerging Hospital category.
