The launching was unveiled in conjunction with MUMO’s recent announcement of the Top 15 finalists who will compete in the Miss Universe Malaysia 2022.

MUMO national director Datin Elaine Daly said this collaboration was the organization’s way to fulfill its vision of revolutionizing pageants in Malaysia.

“With the whole world rapidly adapting to digital transformation, this is MUMO’s cue to join in and ride on the trend as well. By introducing and incorporating the concept of NFTs into the pageant, our latest move holds immense potential for not only the finalists, but for our audience and partners as well,” Datin Elaine said at a press conference held at Vogue Lounge, Kuala Lumpur.

The MUMO NFTs will give fans an opportunity to own unique digital collectibles from the Miss Universe Malaysia 2022 pageant which includes various collections with different utilities.

The Universe Collection features the 15 finalists in celestial designs with a price range of 1-2 ZTX, which is about RM20, and has a voting mechanism connected to the pageant’s final competition.

The finalists will automatically earn additional voting points depending on the popularity of their NFTs and will obtain the wildcard to bypass the elimination round.
