Malaysia Meatless Day Campaign Committee is going to hold an International Meatless Day Carnival this weekend.

Supported by Penang State Government and noted as part of the Penang Tourism Calendar, the event will see More than 100 varieties of food and refreshments – all vegetarian including delicacies from various ethnic groups.

Detail of the event are as below:

TIME: NOVEMBER 21, 2010 (SUNDAY) (10AM-3PM)

PLACE: JALAN PADANG KOTA LAMA (ESPLANADE)

The project is in line with the Penang state’s focus to explore and foray rising new food industries to contribute an additional avenue for long-term economic growth. The event, the only one of its kind in the region, will be held amid entertainment and information activities.

This year’s carnival will also raise funds for charities. They are:

  • St. Nicholas Home
  • Sadhu Vaswani Welfare Fund

There will also be continuous entertainment, music, songs, cultural dances, martial arts display and game shows. Exciting prizes await lucky draw winners.

Tickets valued at RM 10 per book will be sold at the event.
