A French tourist who was scuba diving near Pulau Mabul, was feared drowned yesterday morning, when his body was found floating yesterday morning.
The identity of the tourist was not revealed because police were still trying to contact his next of kin.
Semporna police chief DSP Mohd Azim Khan Abdullah said the victim had dived with two other colleagues near Pulau Mabul at about 1.30am.
However, when he failed to emerge at 3am with his two fellow divers, a police report was lodged.
His body was found floating at 10am yesterday morning.
