As IJN celebrates its 30th anniversary this September, the centre has swept up six prestigious awards for its high-quality healthcare

Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) took home the Nation’s Pride Brand of the Year Award at The BrandLaureate BestBrands Awards 2022.

The award is for Healthcare and Community Engagement category.

The awards ceremony, which took place at the Majestic Hotel in Kuala Lumpur hosted by The World Brands Foundation (TWBF).

The BrandLaureate Best Brand Awards celebrates market leaders in their respective industries.

The “Nation’s Pride” category honours exemplary brands who have contributed to nation building.

IJN has swept up six prestigious awards for its high-quality healthcare this month alone.

On Aug 6, IJN swept up a whopping five awards at the Global Health Asia-Pacific Healthcare and Hospital Awards 2022 held in Bangkok, Thailand.

IJN chief executive officer Datuk Dr Aizai Azan Abdul Rahim said receiving the recognition for its efforts is an honour for IJN.

“It’s especially fitting to receive these awards during our 30th year of existence.

“This proves that we maintained our high standards of cardiovascular and thoracic care pushing the envelope even further.

“Thus far, we have treated and cared for over five million patients, and we look forward to expanding our reach to touch even more lives,” he said.

IJN has earned a reputation for being a regional leader in heart health since its establishment on September 2, 1992.

As Malaysia’s premier heart specialist, IJN has a mandate to provide advanced cardiovascular and thoracic medicine for adult and paediatric heart patients.

Moreover, Dr Aizai added the awards will serve as a benchmark for the centre’s approach to healthcare, and as a reflection of its staffs dedication.

“We’re proud to have committed, passionate, and innovative personnel.

“I’m confident that our teamwork will continue cementing our role as a healthcare leader,” he said.

IJN is also a finalist in the upcoming Hospital Management Asia (HMA) Awards in Bangkok this month.

It is competing in the Most Advanced Healthcare Technology category.

The awards recognises best practices among hospitals in Asia and is one of the most prominent hospital management awards in the region.
