The proceeds from Maggi will benefit three charity homes, the Malaysian Red Crescent Society in Sabah and Hope Place and Special Needs Society Kuching.

MAGGI “Jom Masak & Berkongsi Bersama” campaign raised RM42,437 for underprivileged communities.

The proceeds from the campaign will benefit three charity homes. 

Namely, the Malaysian Red Crescent Society in Sabah and Hope Place and Special Needs Society Kuching in Sarawak.

The beneficiaries will receive upgrades to their existing living facilities. 

They will also receive furniture, food and household supplies for members and communities, including people with intellectual disabilities and welfare homes.

Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad business executive officer Geetha Balakrishna said Nestle is grateful and humbled by the love and support of the communities in East Malaysia,

“It’s a privilege for us to celebrate the Tadau Kaamatan and Hari Gawai with the community and extend a helping hand to the underserved segments of the society through our MAGGI “Jom Masak & Berkongsi Bersama” campaign.

“The response to the MAGGI “Jom Masak & Berkongsi Bersama” campaign has been incredible.

 “We’ve received more than 400,000 contest entries!” said Geetha.

We will channel the raised funds to these deserving communities as part of our corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Thus, mirroring the hope, humanity and spirit of the Harvest Festival,” said Geetha.

Sabah Malaysian Red Crescent Society chairperson Datuk Asnan Yunus Chung extends his gratitude for the contribution.

“The funds will improve the conditions of our vehicles to ensure we can efficiently deliver food and other critical supplies to the underserved communities, especially in the rural areas,” said Asnan.

Meanwhile, Special Needs Society Kuching will upgrade the operation centre with the fund, said its president Joseph K L Chuo.

The MAGGI “Jom Masak & Berkongsi Bersama” campaign ran from May 1 to June 30, 2022, with MAGGI contributing RM0.10 for every contest entry received. 

The grand prize winners are Sabahan Rabiyahton Binti Diwa, 40, and Sarawakian Mohamad Shamsuddin Bin Sanusi, 57.

They will drive home a brand-new Toyota Hilux Double Cab 2.4E (AT) 4X4 each. 

Meanwhile, four runners-up from the two states received cash prizes of RM2,000 each.
