Plus Expressways Berhad (Plus) today issued a travel time advisory (TTA) for Nov 4, 5 and 7 to ensure smooth traffic flow during the Depavali festival.
Its chief executive officer, Datuk Noorizah Abdul Hamid, said the number of vehicles using the Plus expressway during Deepavali was expected to increase by 15 per cent or 1.2 million vehicles daily.
“The TTA is issued with the aim of reducing traffic congestion at the expressway and toll plazas, besides providing more comfort to the users,” she told reporters during the integrated road safety campaign for Deepavali at the USJ ELITE Overhead Bridge Restaurant near here today.
According to the TTA, users from the Klang Valley heading north to Kedah and Perlis, or south to Skudai and Johor Baharu on Nov 4, are advised to start their journey between noon and 2pm.
For those heading to Tapah, Bidor, Slim River and Tanjung Malim in Perak and Seremban, Port Dickson and Senawang in Negeri Sembilan on Nov 4, they are advised to start their journey between 7pm and 11pm.
