Kechara Soup Kitchen organising food drive

Kechara Soup Kitchen Society (KSK) will organise a nationwide food drive in conjunction with World Food Day 2022.

The food drive aims to gather food supplies for the poor and underprivileged community who struggles to meet their basic food needs.

KSK’s wishlist for the food drive is rice, cooking oil, flour, instant oat, sugar, milk powder, dry/instant noodle, chocolate-based drink, and canned food.

World Food Day was established in 1945 by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). The official day recognising World Food Day falls on October 16th.

KSK said that the donors could participate by dropping off food donations at their food banks in Kuala Lumpur, Georgetown, Ipoh, Melaka and Johor Bahru. 

The food items will be delivered after the World Food Day celebration. The donors can also participate in the delivery of the items.

The donors can also participate by purchasing and dropping off food donations at the supermarkets listed below.

The campaign runs throughout October. However, those who could not participate can drop off the food items any other day. The donor needs to make an appointment to ensure KSK personnel is available to receive the items.
