Jayaraman pleaded guilty to stealing an iron grille.

A security guard was sentenced to three months’ jail by the Magistrate’s Court here today after he pleaded guilty to stealing police property.

Magistrate Aina Azahra Arifin ordered N.Jayaraman, 57, to serve the sentence from the date of his arrest on Oct 16, 2010.

Jayaraman pleaded guilty to stealing an iron grille, measuring nine feet long and four feet wide, belonging to the Royal Malaysian Police at Batu 2 ½ Jalan Cheras, in front of the old Cheras police headquarters, at 4pm last Oct 16.
