Moon Cake cheer at Taman Molek

The Chinese community at Taman Molek yesterday came together to organize a moon cake festival celebration.

The celebration, which also included the lantern festival celebrations, was attended by Minister of Higher Education Khaled Nordin among others.

“The government’s intention is to assimilate people in all areas. The current young generation should inherit the cultures and traditions from their elders,” Khaled said.

Khaled had also carried aloft a lantern in joining the celebrations.

The event saw various Chinese traditional performances apart, where the residents were also served with dinner.

“We would like to thank everyone who made this annual festival a success,” said the community association’s chairperson.
