Canon unveils its first large-format desktop printer

Canon’s imagePROGRAF TC-20, its first large-format desktop printer with four-colour pigment ink is ideal for businesses operating in tight workspaces.

Canon Marketing Malaysia’s (Canon) has just launched the imagePROGRAF TC-20, the latest evolution of its imagePROGRAF series of printers. Their impressive series of large-format printers focused on printing images may now fit on a desk.

The TC-20 is the progression in Canon’s imagePROGRAF lineup,designed to meet the needs of consumers, particularly professionals working from home or in small spaces. The printer offers uncompromising image print quality and features for productivity in a small size. It is capable of producing fine, crisp lines on par with high-end devices, making it useful in industries such as architecture, engineering and construction, education, and retail. CAD drawings and posters can now be printed right from a desktop, enabling professionals to work in a way they could not previously.

Designed with superb ease of use and maximum productivity in mind, the printer has easy-refill ink cartridges, supports roll paper, and has an Auto Sheet Feeder for continuous A4 and A3 cut sheet printing. Its four-colour pigment ink cartridges are also hard to smudge from highlighters or minor water spills. For a very small footprint, this printer has big capabilities and minimal downtime to boot.

PosterArtist and Direct Print Plus

Complementing these features are the bundled free software – PosterArtist and Direct Print Plus. PosterArtist offers stock images and templates for a variety of printed marketing materials including brochures and flyers. To make designing a breeze, the Auto Design feature was developed with a designer’s sensibility to automatically position elements such as text and images.

Meanwhile, Direct Print Plus enables users to batch print files of various formats without having to open them. Additionally, the TC-20 is the first printer from Canon to receive a gold rating from the Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT).
