CloudMile, a leading cloud and AI service provider in Asia, has established a non-profit arm called “Mile of Love” to spread its spirit of love and care back to society.

The company, which has been certified as a Great Place to Work, is on a mission to maintain human values and contribute to their improvement by giving new hope to the poor and displaced. CloudMile is also on a quest to expedite climate action by leveraging Google technology to support sustainability at scale.

Mile of Love

The CloudMile Malaysia team took the lead and invited industry partners to join the company’s first charity event, including a silent auction powered by Google AppSheet. The goal was help the less fortunate and raise money for IQ70 Plus, an independent non-profit that focuses on the welfare of children with mental disabilities.

IQ70 Plus has committed itself to helping kids with IQs below 70 by looking for novel discoveries and fresh possibilities within the realm of their capacities.

These ideas have greatly moved CloudMile, who has urged businesses to put resources in them and organised a team to repaint and clean the IQ70 Plus facilities, including cleaning ceiling fans, mowing the grass, and painting the interior and exterior.

During the event, the CloudMile Malaysia team also took the time to educate and play with the mentally challenged children.

The event displayed the spirit of CloudMile’s “Mile of Love” and garnered a tremendous amount of support and response from individuals from all walks of life.

The money raised from CloudMile’s Customer Appreciation Day and silent auction was used to provide daily necessities for IQ70 Plus.

“We at CloudMile believe in giving back to society, and playing our part to make the world a better place. Be the change you want to see in the world!”, says Lester Leong, CloudMile’s Malaysia Country Manager.

No boundaries

The “Mile of Love” journey began in Malaysia, and the Taiwan team carried on it last Christmas when they purchased a Madeleine Christmas gift box from the Children Are Us Foundation as a year-end present for colleagues.

The Hong Kong team will be next to join and spread the love of CloudMile across thousands of miles. CloudMile plans to create a website for “Mile of Love” in the future to help with community outreach.

Cloud services provide efficient resource management without borders. It is full of possibilities with flexible computing capabilities without limitations of traditional physical space. Similarly, CloudMile has limitless passion for public welfare services.
