Venna and Afiq triumph in Super Model Universe Malaysia

The prestigious Super Model Universe Malaysia 2023 competition concluded with Venna Magarita and Muhammad Afiq emerging as deserving winners. Held at the Royale Chulan Damansara Hotel in Petaling Jaya, this event celebrated the beauty, talent, and determination of aspiring models from across the country.

A total of 25 contestants took part in the Super Model Universe Malaysia 2023 competition. Each of them puts on an outstanding performance as they modelled the fashion collections by fashion designers, including Farel Mikhail, Faridz Salleh, Maya Ubrani, Jayk, Qif Alvarez and Fitrah Kamarudin.

Venna Magarita shines as the female winner

Venna Magarita, a remarkable medical doctor from Kuala Lumpur, captivated the judges with her grace, sophistication, and natural charm. At just 31 years old, she dazzled the audience and claimed the coveted title of Super Model Universe Malaysia 2023.

Crowned by the outgoing queen, Yogamathi Ulaganathan, Venna’s triumph was a testament to her exceptional talent and dedication.

“To become the champion of Supermodel Universe Malaysia title is definitely an honour. It`s one of the most amazing feelings I could ever wished for,” Venna expressed her excitement.

“I am indeed very grateful to my parents and sibling because without their support it wouldn’t have been possible, and I am beyond grateful to the national director Ammetta and her team for this whole opportunity,” Venna expressed her excitement.

When asked about her winning strategy, Venna replied, “Having a good mindset. I believe having a good positive attitude, a strong mind, and a passionate heart are very important not only when you’re participating in a pageant but in everything that you endeavor in. Also, being able to dedicate oneself is crucial.”

Venna has demonstrated that one can be a doctor as a career and at the same time achieved the dream of being a supermodel.

Muhammad Afiq takes the male category by storm

In the male category, Muhammad Afiq, a 27-year-old fitness manager from Taiping, Perak, emerged victorious. With his stunning looks and well-toned physique, Afiq showcased his talent and passion, earning him the title of Super Model Universe Malaysia 2023.

“I felt very grateful, impressed, and totally happy. Also, I’m proud to be myself because all my hard work, struggling and most of all, love of what I am doing for these three months has paid off,” Afiq shared his feelings about the title.

Describing his winning strategy, Afiq emphasized, “Focus on training, discipline, asking advice and tips from seniors. Hard work, passion, and always being humble are what allow you to get ahead of other contestants.”

As fitness manager, Afiq’s responsibilities include managing the team, training clients and delivering the club’s target. He is happy in his current career and with his new fame, he wants to immerse himself in the modelling and the fashion/entertainment industry.

“I would like to start involved more in the industry – pageant, modelling, fashion walk, and the like because I love being able to meet new people, see new things and connect with new experiences.

Afiq hopes to achieve his career goal ambition in the years to come.

Embarking on the international journey

Having triumphed in the national competition, both Venna and Muhammad are now set to represent Malaysia in the world finals of Super Model Universe 2023. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, will host the international event for the first time, and these talented models are gearing up to showcase their skills on a global stage.

“I will try my best in the international finals, do pray for me and bless me as I stand not as one but as 33 million Malaysians in the international competition. Malaysia boleh!” Venna expressed her determination and hope for the upcoming international competition.

“I would like to start involving more in the industry – pageant, modeling, fashion walk, and the like because I love being able to meet new people, see new things, and connect with new experiences,” Muhammad Afiq shared his aspirations for the future.

Super Model Universe Malaysia national director Ammetta Malhotra congratulated the winners and participants for giving a great show.

“I was amazed to see the improvements and developments of all the finalists, most of whom were first timers and discovered by our platform,” she said.

Ammetta also expressed her gratitude to event partners and sponsors for their steadfast support and contributions received at this year’s event.
