Sepang municipal council has just welcomed its new president, Mohd Sayuthi bin Bakar, who assumed office on July 1.
Mohd Sayuthi was promoted to the post from MPSJ where he was vice president cum municipal secretary for one month.
He replaced Azizan Mohamad Sidin as the second president, who announced his stepping down during the MP Sepang full board meeting last week.
In his first week in the office, Mohd Sayuthi pledged to strengthen the discipline and integrity among the civil servants that overlook some 60-hectares area of Selangor yesterday.
“Our staff should adopt a good working ethic such as being punctual to work and not misusing our powers,” he was quoted as saying during the Monday morning assembly.
His former colleague, Keshminder Singh, the PKR councillor of MPSJ, lauded his capabilities despite his brief reign as vice president.
“He handled some meetings quite well. I am quite happy with him.”
Mohd Sayuthi has previously served in the Selangor State Economic Planning Unit and the Local Government section.
