Mahsuri Food Sdn. Bhd. announces Chef Muda Mahsuri program, offering scholarships for aspiring Malaysian chefs to hone their culinary skills at FIM

Mahsuri Food Sdn. Bhd. (Mahsuri), a renowned sauces and condiments brand, has announced its commitment to giving back to the community through the Chef Muda Mahsuri programme. The company aims to provide scholarship opportunities to aspiring Malaysians who wish to hone their culinary skills through the Certificate of Attendance in Malay Dishes Course at the prestigious Food Institute of Malaysia (FIM).

In a recent press conference held at FIM, Dato Mohd Roslan Mahayudin, Non-Executive Director of Mahsuri, expressed gratitude for the company’s generosity in offering scholarships to students of FIM.

“While there are many scholarships available for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) leavers who wish to further their studies in professional courses, Mahsuri as a sauces and condiments brand hopes to create opportunities for those interested in culinary arts and aspire to serve in this field.” Dato Mohd Roslan said.

Ten students awarded scholarships

Mahsuri firmly believes in making a positive impact on the local community, with a particular focus on empowering young talents. As part of their initiative, Mahsuri will sponsor ten students for the Certificate of Attendance in Malay Dishes Course at FIM. The comprehensive scholarship package covers tuition fees, accommodation, and allowances, supporting the students’ seven-month culinary training and three-month job placement, ultimately leading to a certificate upon completion.

The launch event for the Chef Muda Mahsuri programme took place today at FIM, where the scholarships were officially presented to the selected students. The ceremony was attended by notable individuals including Chef Moh Johari Edrus, Advisor at FIM, Puan Norafidah Mohd Hashim, Chief Executive of FIM, Dato Mohd Roslan Bin Mahayuddin, Non-Executive Director of Mahsuri Food Sdn Bhd, and En Mohd Jazri bin Ikmal Hijaz, Senior Commercial Manager of Mahsuri Dagang Sdn Bhd.

Fostering the growth of Halal culinary industry
