The Thai SELECT Restaurants program, an initiative of the Royal Thai Government, has long been devoted to preserving and promoting the true essence of Thai cuisine and hospitality. Through rigorous assessment and strict evaluation, the program identified and recognized ten outstanding restaurants, honoring them as part of the esteemed Thai SELECT family.

Each of the 11 handpicked restaurants exhibited an unwavering commitment to preserving the authentic flavors, cooking techniques, and cultural traditions that define Thai cuisine. The award is a testament to their remarkable dedication in providing guests with an unparalleled Thai dining experience.

Her Excellency, Ms. Lada Phumas, the Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, expressed immense pride and delight in congratulating the 11 additional Thai SELECT Restaurants for their outstanding achievements. She praised the Thai Select Restaurants in Malaysia and Brunei for their unwavering commitment to upholding Thailand’s rich culinary heritage while offering an exceptional dining experience to patrons, both local and international.

With these new additions, the total count of Thai Select Restaurants in Malaysia has now reached an impressive 26, while Brunei boasts one outstanding establishment.

Several of the Thai SELECT Restaurants also participated in the Thai Exhibition, Think Thailand, held recently at Tropicana Gardens Mall from 19th to 30th July 2023. It was Malaysia’s largest Thai exhibition, showcasing the best of Thai cuisine and culture with Thai SELECT food highlights, cooking demonstrations, cooking classes, and more in four themed zones covering over 70,000 sq ft. The exhibition also featured the first Thai pet products exhibition outside Thailand, highlighting pet foods, toys, accessories, as well as pet shows and competitions.
