CECCM’s tree planting initiative for a greener world

CECCM’s tree planting event in Seremban sees Sinohydro and 21 others planting 80 trees, fostering collaboration and environmental responsibility.

Chung Hua High School Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, August 19, 2023 – The China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (CECCM) demonstrated its commitment to environmental sustainability by organizing a tree planting event titled “Adopt a Tree, Roots for a Better World” at Chung Hua High School Seremban. A total of 22 prominent companies and organizations converged to plant a collective 80 trees on the premises. Notably, representatives from Sinohydro Corporation (M) Sdn. Bhd. (Sinohydro Malaysia) also participated in this significant endeavor, contributing 10 trees to the initiative.

Among the attendees, Mr. Zhou Jiayi, the Managing Director of Sinohydro Malaysia and concurrently the President of PowerChina Asia Pacific, , led the employees in planting 10 tree saplings at the school. This collaborative event successfully fostered enhanced communication and cooperation between Chinese enterprises and the Malaysian society. Furthermore, it played a pivotal role in fortifying environmental consciousness and corporate social responsibility (CSR) within the local community.

During the event, Zhou emphasized Sinohydro’s unwavering commitment to sustainable development.
