Carlsberg Malaysia has partnered with BuddyDriver by TREVO to bring a unique and exciting campaign to ensure responsible drinking takes the forefront in the minds of beer enthusiasts. With the eighth installment of their #CELEBRATERESPONSIBLY campaign, Carlsberg Malaysia is making bar hopping safer and more convenient in Kuala Lumpur.
Starting from September 22 and continuing on October 6, 13, and 20, 2023, from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM, consumers in Kuala Lumpur can look forward to a safer and more responsible bar hopping experience. This unique activation will span various popular drinking hotspots including Changkat, Cheras, Solaris, Mont Kiara, Publika, Plaza Arakadia, Sri Petaling, Hartamas, and Old Klang Road.
Convenient and affordable transportation solutions
This partnership between Carlsberg Malaysia and BuddyDriver provides consumers with a practical and affordable solution to ensure they get home safely after an evening of enjoying their favorite brews. It’s a reminder that responsible drinking doesn’t just mean moderating your alcohol intake; it also means planning for a safe journey home, which is now more accessible than ever.
“With road incidents rising, and road safety being a concern, we are committed to offer a safe, reliable service that makes it affordable to pre-book a professional driver on the TREVO app for the short term. Promotional codes for safe rides
As part of this initiative, Carlsberg Malaysia is offering promotional codes for BuddyDriver rides. First-time users can claim a one-hour free BuddyDriver ride using the code “CELEBRATERESPONSIBLY,” with up to RM53 off. For those who have used BuddyDriver before, the code “CELEBRATERESPONSIBLY10” will grant a 10% discount on subsequent rides, capped at RM30.
The #CELEBRATERESPONSIBLY campaign aligns with Carlsberg Malaysia’s dedication to delivering on its ZERO Irresponsible Drinking program. The central focus of this initiative is to raise awareness among consumers regarding the permitted national blood alcohol content (BAC) limit of 0.05%. It also seeks to provide consumers with convenient alternatives to driving under the influence, empowering them to make responsible choices while still enjoying their favorite brew.
Pearl Lai, the Corporate Affairs & Sustainability Director of Carlsberg Malaysia, underlined the significance of this campaign, stating, “Consumers have the power to create change around drinking and driving by embracing responsible habits of opting for e-hailing or chauffeur-on-call services. Through our #CELEBRATERESPONSIBLY campaign, we provided consumers with an avenue to measure their BAC levels and share the knowledge on one’s alcohol tolerance.”

What sets this campaign apart is the presence of the #CELEBRATERESPONSIBLY employee ambassadors who will be actively engaging with consumers during these activations. They will be partnered with BuddyDriver, a ride-hailing service, to ensure that you can enjoy your evening out without worrying about the journey home.
