Artbox Malaysia returns with an Arcadia theme, offering art, music, food, and unique shopping experiences from Nov 10-12 and Nov 17-19

After a four-year hiatus, Artbox Malaysia is back, promising an other-worldly experience for Malaysians. The highly anticipated event, set to take place at Sunway Pyramid’s outdoor car park, features a captivating Arcadia theme and highlights five pillars for 2023: art, experiential, food, music, and retail.

Ken Chai of Adnology Labs in Malaysia and Kent Teo of INVADE in Singapore expressed their excitement about Artbox’s return. Ken Chai said, “We truly believe Artbox represents more than just an event. Here, we piece together every unique pillar from all around the region, to form a holistic one-of-a-kind curated experience.” Kent Teo added, “We are confident this is a movement that Malaysia has long awaited for. A feast for the senses

This year’s edition showcases various forms of art, from urban street art to modern and contemporary. The event features programs, artwork, installations, displays, and live showcases by artists from Southeast Asia. The installations explore different mediums with interactive elements and illusions, creating an other-worldly experience for visitors.Visitors can expect an otherworldly experience with interactive elements and illusions that push the boundaries of imagination.

Vertical wall stands will showcase artwork by Malaysian artists, contributing to the thriving urban street culture. The experiential zone will allow visitors to immerse themselves in hands-on cultural stations, providing an innovative way for people of all ages to connect and explore their creativity through exciting workshops.

The event is incomplete without delicious treats, and Artbox 2023 does not disappoint. It features a creative showcase of gourmet creations from food and beverage entrepreneurs, partners, and brands from Southeast Asia. Popular vendors from Thailand will bring authentic flavors, complemented by a selection of local food and beverage vendors.

Artbox is collaborating with aspiring and established talents in Malaysia to offer a platform for musicians to showcase their talent and entertain the crowd with groovy beats while adding a local flavor to the party atmosphere.

Shopping Extravaganza

In line with its mission to support and empower entrepreneurs, Artbox will showcase crafts and creative products from local to global brands, creating a unique shopping experience for visitors.

The event is made possible through key partnerships, with Sunway Pyramid serving as the official venue partner and Fujifilm (Instax) as the official partner. Attendees are encouraged to visit the Instax Mart to experience the brand new Instax Pal and receive free photos and freebies. Dissy.co is the official merchandise partner, offering customized t-shirts and organizing exciting games with audiences during the weekends.

Next, Artbox has also partnered with TikTok as its official media partner. There will be several fun activities on ground, this includes a prize redemption activation, where users complete tasks on both online and offline platforms to collect and redeem points. In addition, visitors can check out the TikTok Creator Lounge for TikTok creators meet and greet, and to serve as a content creation spot for creators.

Vuse and GWM’s unique inclusions

Vapour product Vuse and automobile manufacturer GWM are integral parts of Artbox 2023. Vuse offers visitors a chance to explore their creativity in the “Portals to Inspiration” zone and introduces the just-launched Vuse GO 3000 with eight bold flavors. GWM allows consumers to participate in the mystery gift wall activity for special rewards.

Meanwhile, Artbox’s stunning Arcadia tunnel is inspired by a local storybook, Kalista. The tunnel serves as an immersive showcase for our storybook, “The Mysterious Gumgrumps,” taking visitors into the world of the Kerokea planet. It will be adorned and transformed with various floral elements to bring the story to life. Throughout the journey inside the tunnel, there will be engaging activities for visitors to enjoy. In addition, participants who successfully complete these activities will have the opportunity to receive merchandise and special giveaways.
