SHAH ALAM (March 17, 2010): Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim has revealed that Sime Darby UEP garnered its land titles of what is now Subang Ria Recreational Park by exchanging 10 houses for the land’s premium.
He said the exchange was proposed to and was accepted by the state government when Sime Darby, then known as United Estate Project Berhad (UEP), applied for 72.64 acres (29.4ha) of land in Petaling (now Subang Jaya) in 1986 for recreational purposes.
