Penang’s grand audio-visual expo returns with global flair

Penang’s Northern International Audio & Visual Show returns, now an annual global spectacle. Elevate senses with cutting-edge tech from Apr 26-28.

The Northern International Audio & Visual Show is poised to make waves on the international stage with its upcoming second edition, set to take place from April 26 to 28 at Amari SPICE Penang. This year, the event, formerly known as the Northern Audio & Visual Show, has undergone a name modification to better reflect its global aspirations and will now be an annual affair.

Organized by Gryphon Production and backed by the Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB), the B2B2C exhibition promises a comprehensive showcase of cutting-edge audio and visual experiences. The event will feature 25 exhibits, spanning home theatre systems, portable music equipment for audiophiles on the go, and a captivating car audio show.

The Northern International Audio & Visual Show aims to position itself as the region’s premier high-end audio-visual exhibition. It has garnered support not only from domestic exhibitors but also from Southeast Asian and American participants.

During a recent press conference in Kuala Lumpur, Ashwin Gunasekeran, CEO of PCEB, expressed the bureau’s commitment to attracting more B2B exhibitions and expanding the industry’s scale and scope.

“We aim to create a robust platform that not only showcases the latest advancements in various industries but also attracts a diverse range of participants, thus fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and economic growth within the region,” stated Gunasekeran.

The event gains added significance with the anticipated opening of the Penang Waterfront Convention Centre in the first quarter of 2025. This new convention center is poised to handle a broader range of events, from large-scale exhibitions to conferences, further enhancing Penang’s position as a hub for global events.

With the tagline “Visual Voyage, Sonic Story,” this year’s show promises to elevate the sensory experience for attendees. The exhibition is expected to draw audiophiles, tech enthusiasts, industry professionals, and young entrepreneurs eager to share and acquire knowledge in the rapidly evolving field of audio-visual technology.
