The Tabika Kemas Felda Lok Heng Timur in Kota Tinggi found itself the victim of a Christmas weekend break-in, resulting in the theft of a Hisense 43″ television set worth RM700. The administrator of the kindergarten promptly lodged a police report after discovering the break-in on December 25, where the window panel was forced open, and the television set was missing.
District police chief Superintendent Hussin Zamora confirmed the break-in, indicating that it is believed to have occurred between December 24 and 25. Taking to social media, the administrator shared the unfortunate incident on the Orang-Kota Tinggi Facebook page, appealing to the Felda settlers for assistance. The post included an image of the stolen Hisense television set inside its packaging and highlighted the damages incurred during the break-in.
However, amid this setback, a glimmer of hope emerged as Hisense Malaysia, a renowned electronics brand, stepped forward to support the affected kindergarten. After learning about the incident through news articles, Hisense Malaysia decided to sponsor a brand-new 50” A6100K television to replace the stolen set.
Community resilience and hope for the future
The generous sponsorship aims to alleviate the impact of the robbery and ensure that the kindergarten can continue to provide a conducive learning environment for the children in the community. The Hisense A6100K is a 4K UHD Smart VIDAA television that boasts features such as HDR10+ Decoding and Dolby Vision, providing improved shadow detail and brighter highlights for an enhanced viewing experience.
Ms. Nordiana binti Mohd Diah, a teacher at the kindergarten, expressed gratitude for Hisense Malaysia’s support, stating, “We are very appreciative and grateful to Hisense for their concern by providing us with the TV. Nowadays, TV is one of the mediums that is necessary to have in schools to facilitate teaching and learning. Learning material through TV can make children more interested in learning, thus this initiative by Hisense Malaysia is truly appreciated.”
One notable feature of the Hisense A6100K is its fully speech control with built-in VIDAA voice, allowing users to manage the TV using voice commands. Hisense Malaysia hopes that this technology will contribute to the kindergarten’s educational efforts and enhance the learning experience for the children.
In a statement, Hisense Malaysia expressed its commitment to innovation and adaptability, hoping that such initiatives can be replicated in education to prepare the next generation for a dynamic and technologically-driven future.
