Battle of the Reds’ clash unveils star-studded lineup

AllStar Sports Sdn. Bhd., in partnership with ACO Media and World Football Legends (WFL), has officially revealed the star-studded player lineups for the much-anticipated ‘Battle of the Reds’ match between Manchester Reds and Liverpool Reds, scheduled to take place at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil on the 27th of April 2024.

The Manchester Reds’ lineup boasts football legends such as Louis Saha, Dwight Yorke, Jaap Stam, Lee Sharpe, Clayton Blackmore, Keith Gillespie, Ben Thornley, Eric Djemba Djemba, Paul Rachubka, Russell Beardsmore, Lee Martin, and Danny Webber, with Teddy Sheringham leading the squad as captain.

On the other side, Liverpool Reds will showcase the talents of David James, Steve McManaman, Emile Heskey, Sammi Hyypia, Glen Johnson, Patrik Berger, Vladimir Smicer, John Durnin, Phil Babb, and David Thompson, with John Arne Riise wearing the captain’s armband.

More player names are set to be unveiled as the match date approaches.

Football enthusiasts are urged to mark their calendars as ticket sales for this epic encounter kick off on 5th February 2024 via ticket2u.com.my. Prices range from RM1,888 for VIP seats to RM78 for Manchester and Liverpool Reds supporters. The complete pricing details include PS1 at RM268, PS2 at RM208, and PS3 at RM128. Fans are advised to secure their tickets early to avoid disappointment.

AllStar Sports Project Director, En. Raf Yaakob, expressed his excitement about the overwhelming response from football fans across Southeast Asia, anticipating a crowd of around 40,000 at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil.

Exclusive pre-ticket sales are available for the first 5,000 Maybank or Tune Protect customers from 30th January (starting at 10 am) until 2nd February (at 11.59 pm), featuring a 10 percent discount on each ticket, excluding VIP tickets. Transactions are limited to a maximum of 10 tickets per customer.

Organizers have pledged to contribute 100% of the proceeds from the sale of 376 tickets, each valued at RM108, to support Persatuan WeCareJourney, a local organization dedicated to assisting families affected by Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) and disabilities.
