Pos Malaysia unveils exclusive dragon-themed stamp collection

Pos Malaysia unveils exclusive dragon-themed stamp collection for Chinese New Year 2024. Limited edition set, embodying luck and success.

In celebration of the upcoming Chinese New Year 2024, which marks the Year of the Dragon, Pos Malaysia has launched an exclusive stamp collection featuring the mythical creature. The limited-edition ‘Setem Ku’ set, priced at RM28.00 each, promises to be a unique and auspicious addition to stamp enthusiasts’ collections.

The star of this festive collection is a special sheetlet of five stamps, meticulously crafted to embody the essence of the Year of the Dragon. One standout stamp showcases a stunning dragon illustration accompanied by the Chinese character for “dragon,” all brought to life with a golden appearance achieved through the application of the hot stamping technique.

The remaining four stamps in the set form a vibrant strip, featuring visuals of the dragon, a lively festive celebration with a drum performance, and warm Lunar New Year greetings inscribed in Chinese characters.

Symbolizing Luck and Success

Each ‘Setem Ku’ set includes a specially designed envelope with the stamps already affixed, ensuring a seamless and aesthetically pleasing presentation. Moreover, a red folder adorned with the Chinese character “loong” (dragon) is included, enhancing the overall appeal of this exquisite collection.

To facilitate the easy sending of New Year greetings, each set is equipped with a greeting card and a matching envelope, complete with the stamps affixed and ready for posting to loved ones, adding a personal touch to the celebrations.

The exclusive dragon-themed stamp collection will be available for purchase starting February 6, 2024, at the Stamp and Philately Counter on Level 1 of Pos Malaysia Headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. For stamp enthusiasts across the nation, the collection will hit retail shelves at all 90 philatelic bureaus nationwide, including 13 general post offices, from February 9, 2024, while stocks last.

Pos Malaysia encourages collectors and well-wishers alike to be among the first to capture the spirit of prosperity and joy with this exquisite limited-edition stamp collection, embodying the auspicious Year of the Dragon.
