In the true spirit of Chinese New Year, IJM Seremban 2 continues its annual tradition of giving back to the community by reaching out to six deserving families in Seremban. The property developer, known for its commitment to community welfare, embarked on a heartfelt journey to spread joy and warmth during this auspicious season.
As part of their initiative, each family received an Angpow, a red envelope containing RM1,000, symbolizing good luck and wealth for the upcoming year. Additionally, the property developer presented each family with a thoughtful grocery package worth RM600, comprising essential items such as rice, cooking oil, flour, cookies, and other necessities.
Mr. Chai Kian Soon, Senior General Manager of IJM Land Berhad, expressed the significance of the initiative, stating, “Chinese New Year is a time of happiness, reunion, and the spirit of giving. For many years, IJM Seremban 2 has been committed to making a positive impact on the Seremban community. As we embrace the vibrancy of Chinese New Year, it is crucial to remember those encountering challenges in our community. Our sincere visits to these six families aim not only to provide financial assistance but also to create lasting memories and instill a sense of hope during this festive season.”

Wan Chew Liean, a 44-year-old single mother of four, is supporting her three school-going children after her husband’s passing due to a lung infection. Lai Mee Chan, 56 years old, sells fruits for a living, struggling to make ends meet. Law Mee Chai (42 years old) and Chee Yun Keong (42 years old), a family of five, rely on minimal income and financial support.
Mr. Chai emphasized, “Our yearly outreach during Chinese New Year isn’t merely a tradition; it reflects our steadfast commitment to uplift those in need. We firmly believe that as corporate citizens, it is our responsibility to lend a helping hand to our community members facing challenges. Together, let’s create a lasting impact and contribute to the betterment of our shared community.”
