The campaign named PROJEK N.A.S.I., which stands for Nasi Asih Suria Ihsan is an initiative driven by compassion and community spirit.

Empowering women and providing affordable meals

In a collaborative effort to support the underprivileged during the holy month of Ramadan, Ihsan Johor and Yayasan Suria JB have launched "PROJEK N.A.S.I.".

The project offers a two-fold benefit. “For years, Ihsan Johor has supported single mothers and those with disabilities,” explains Farrah Baptist, Ihsan Johor’s Chief Executive.

“PROJEK N.A.S.I. empowers these resilient women by giving them the opportunity to cook for others in similar situations.”

Four women supported by Ihsan Johor will prepare 50 wholesome meals daily.

These meals, consisting of rice, chicken, and vegetables, will be sold for a subsidised price of RM2.50 during Buka Puasa, the breaking of the Ramadan fast.

Projek N.A.S.I. distribution and expansion plans

In a collaborative effort to support the underprivileged during the holy month of Ramadan, Ihsan Johor and Yayasan Suria JB have launched "PROJEK N.A.S.I.".

The meals will be distributed at two locations: PPR Melana in Perling and Yayasan Suria JB’s premises in Taman Johor Jaya.

“We plan to increase the number of meals served as Ramadan progresses,” says James, representative from Yayasan Suria JB.

The initial response to PROJEK N.A.S.I. has been positive, with all meals readily purchased on the first day. Organisers aim to expand the program’s reach in the coming days.
