ZTE Corporation showcased its groundbreaking 5G applications at the Connected Industries Day event, hosted in Malaysia. Leveraging its record-setting 28Gbps speed achievement in October 2023, ZTE demonstrated cutting-edge innovations poised to transform the industrial landscape.

The event, themed “Transforming Manufacturing with 5G and AI,” was organized by Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) and graced by the presence of YBhg Tuan Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Digital. Minister Gobind highlighted Malaysia’s imminent transition to a dual 5G network, emphasizing the government’s commitment to advancing connectivity across industries.

Speaking at a press conference, Minister Gobind emphasized the importance of swift progress in fulfilling conditions precedents (CPs) by DNB, the designated 5G network provider. With the appointment of DNB’s board of directors, due diligence is underway to expedite the rollout of the dual network, ensuring widespread access to 5G technology for businesses and individuals alike.

Groundbreaking 5G Applications Take Center Stage

ZTE’s participation underscored its dedication to advancing 5G and AI applications in industrial settings. At the event, ZTE unveiled its “Digitalizing Factories with Advanced Industrial Innovations” initiative, showcasing transformative 5G-enabled solutions. Among the highlights were the 5G Smart Campus Intelligent Operations Center and the 5G Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV), demonstrating enhanced operational safety and efficiency.

Key projects such as the Nanjing Binjiang Intelligent Manufacturing initiative and the fully connected WISCO project were showcased, showcasing significant improvements in labor efficiency and operational performance. Attendees were offered hands-on experiences with ZTE’s latest advancements, including the innovative 5G AGV and Smart Helmet, designed to bolster safety and operational efficiency in industrial environments.
