Huawei launches largest photography exhibition and XMAGE Awards 2024

Huawei has unveiled its inaugural HUAWEI XMAGE Global Exhibition, titled “A Heartwarming World – 12 Years of Huawei Photography,” at the Sentul Glass Pavilion within a private park in Kuala Lumpur. This exhibition marks the largest photography showcase in the company’s history and celebrates over a decade of Huawei’s advancements in mobile imaging technology.

During the exhibition’s opening ceremony, the HUAWEI XMAGE Awards 2024 was officially launched. Now in its eighth year, this annual competition encourages consumers to explore their creativity and imagination using Huawei’s cutting-edge XMAGE imaging technology. The competition aims to inspire participants to infuse their photographs with deeper emotional and cultural resonance.

“A Heartwarming World – 12 Years of Huawei Photography”

Under the theme “A Heartwarming World,” the exhibition features nearly 300 photographs taken with Huawei smartphones, selected from millions of submissions. These images capture moments of warmth, tranquility, and brightness from around the globe, reflecting ordinary people’s lives and emphasizing Huawei XMAGE’s brand philosophy, ‘The Power of Image.’ This philosophy seeks to ignite consumers’ imagination and appreciation of supreme imaging technology, highlighting its impact beyond mere visuals.

Over the past decade, Huawei has played a pivotal role in advancing mobile photography through continuous innovation. The exhibition displays works from various Huawei smartphone series, spanning 12 years. Huawei has also promoted the global spread of mobile photography culture through photography competitions, community events, and trend reports.

Innovative Milestone: The HUAWEI Pura Series

Building on its legacy, Huawei has introduced the HUAWEI Pura Series, an evolution of the HUAWEI P Series. The HUAWEI Pura 70 Ultra, part of this series, has recently topped the DXOMARK Smartphone Camera Rankings with an impressive score of 163 points. This new series integrates advanced photography, aesthetic design, and unique style, setting a new benchmark in mobile photography.

Exhibition Highlights

The exhibition explores six categories: “The Secrets of Mother Nature,” “Landscapes and Spaces,” “A Dialogue with Animals,” “You and Me,” “The Power of Moments,” and “The World of Youth.” It will run from May 23 until May 24, 2024, with exceptional works displayed across Huawei’s official platforms, including @HuaweiXmageAwards on Instagram and @huaweimobilemy on Instagram, X, and Facebook.

The HUAWEI Pura 70 Series revolutionizes mobile photography with its Ultra Lighting camera system and Ultra Speed Snapshot feature, which effortlessly captures fast-moving scenes. The series also boasts an Ultra Lighting Macro Telephoto Camera, ensuring crystal-clear images across the entire focal length.
