In a landmark agreement poised to transform the energy sector in Sarawak, Power Construction Corporation of China (PowerChina) and Petroleum Sarawak Berhad (PETROS) have officially inked the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for the Miri 500 MW combined cycle gas power plant project. The signing ceremony, held in Kuching, was graced by key figures from both corporations including Dr. James Foo, Chief Operating Officer of PETROS, Kidd Enau, Vice President of PETROS, Zhou Jiayi, President of PowerChina Asia Pacific, Jiang Qinghua, Committee and Chairman of Sinohydro Engineering Bureau 8 Co., Ltd., and Ye Haoliang, Vice President of PowerChina Asia Pacific.
