The National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang 2024 event, officially inaugurated by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim today, attracted over 8,000 visitors, marking a grand kickoff to the national celebrations. The event, designed with a carnival concept, was organized in collaboration with the Selangor State Government Secretary’s Office, various ministries, government departments, and both public and private agencies.
The program was a vibrant celebration featuring the MADANI X HKHM 2024 Carnival, which included a diverse array of activities such as the MADANI X NADI Community booths, RIUH X HKHM, public service offerings, exhibitions from multiple agencies, entrepreneurship sales, patriotic performances, interactive national activities, and demonstrations showcasing local product manufacturing.
Empowering Communities Through MADANI Initiatives
In a significant move to empower communities, the event also hosted the MADANI Community Settlement program. This initiative drew nearly 2,500 participants, including leaders and members of the MADANI Community from across Peninsular Malaysia. The program aimed to enhance community engagement with government initiatives and foster a stronger sense of involvement in the national month festivities.
Adding to the patriotic fervor, Prime Minister Anwar initiated the Kembara Merdeka Jalur Gemilang (KMJG) 2024 convoy, a symbolic journey to spread the spirit of National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations across the country. The convoy, comprising 90 participants and 65 vehicles, included representatives from the Malaysian Information Department, Royal Malaysia Police, various agencies, community groups, NGOs from Selangor, and members of the Suzuki V-Strom Malaysia Club.
The event not only marked the beginning of a month-long celebration of national pride but also reinforced the importance of community participation in national initiatives.
