Over the recent three-day weekend from 6 to 8 September, Royal Canin captivated more than 5,000 attendees at its booth during Kucing Expo 2024, held at the World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur. The renowned pet nutrition brand organised a series of engaging activities aimed at educating cat owners about responsible feline care and the importance of providing a healthy foundation during the crucial early stages of a kitten’s life.
At the heart of Royal Canin’s exhibit was its celebrated “Start of Life” range for kittens. This product line focuses on the specific nutritional needs required during the critical early development stages of kittens. Visitors were introduced to the immune-boosting benefits that the Start of Life products provide, helping to ensure that kittens develop into healthy, strong adult cats.
Market Head of Royal Canin Malaysia, Ms. Teh Meng Li, expressed the company’s excitement at being part of the Kucing Expo, saying, “It’s an incredible platform for us to connect with the community and raise awareness about responsible cat ownership. We are thrilled to see so many passionate cat lovers here, and grateful for the opportunity to educate and inspire.”
Low Indigestible Proteins
One of the focal points of the booth was educating the public about Royal Canin’s use of Low Indigestible Proteins (L.I.P). These proteins are specially formulated to be easily digestible, ensuring that cats absorb essential nutrients more efficiently. This results in better overall health, as the protein content is highly utilised by the body, unlike other high-protein sources that may not be as effective.
Ms. Teh reiterated the company’s commitment to pet health, saying, “Our Start of Life range for both puppies and kittens is designed with high-quality L.I.P to ensure that pets receive the essential nutrition they need during their formative stages.”
Engaging Booth Activities Delight Cat Lovers
The Royal Canin booth provided an immersive, educational, and fun experience through six engaging stations, which included:
- A touch-screen game demonstrating the importance of proper nutrition during kitten growth.
- An interactive visual display debunking myths about high-protein diets.
- A personalised diet survey offering tailored feeding recommendations.
- A station on mixed feeding, explaining the balance between dry and wet food for optimal health.
- A photobooth for cat owners to capture memorable moments with their pets.
- A “Meet the Vet” session offering expert advice on responsible cat care.
These activities ensured that cat owners left the exhibition with valuable insights into better feline nutrition and care.
A Better World for Pets
With pet abandonment rates rising in Malaysia, Royal Canin’s presence at the Kucing Expo served as a reminder of the importance of pet owner education. Ms. Teh highlighted this during her speech, stating, “It is clear that education on responsible pet ownership is more critical than ever. Our goal at Royal Canin is to ensure that every pet lives their best life, and we are committed to working alongside pet professionals to make that a reality.”
Royal Canin’s participation at Kucing Expo 2024 was not just about showcasing products but also reinforcing its mission of promoting responsible pet ownership and health through nutrition. The event proved to be a success, bringing the community together while highlighting the importance of providing the best possible care for cats.
