THE STORY BOOK relocates to The Curve

THE STORY BOOK opens at The Curve, offering roleplay storytelling, family events, and partnerships for financial literacy and literacy initiatives.

THE STORY BOOK, a storytelling event company renowned for its unique approach to storytelling through roleplay, has recently opened a new centre at The Curve, marking a significant milestone in its journey since its inception in 2018. This move signals THE STORY BOOK’s commitment to making storytelling more accessible while fostering a love for books among families. The new location, nestled within a bustling mall, offers an ideal setting for families to enjoy storytelling sessions and other activities in a fun and convenient environment.

Jeanisha Wan, Director of THE STORY BOOK, expressed her excitement over the move, stating, “We chose to move to the Curve to make it more convenient for families with children to visit our center. Being in a mall setting allows us to connect with a larger audience, and it provides our customers with the added ease of enjoying other activities before or after attending our events or classes. This integration with the mall environment enriches the overall experience, making it a fun and practical destination for families.”

A Pirate-Themed Grand Opening

The opening event at The Curve was themed ‘Treasure Island,’ capturing the spirit of adventure and fun. Families and young children were treated to an array of interactive activities such as roleplay storytelling, a treasure hunt, and exciting games like ‘Walk the Plank’ and ‘Pirate Train Express.’ The highlight of the event came when THE STORY BOOK’s dinosaur mascot made a grand entrance, waving a pirate flag to officiate the opening ceremony.

In an effort to give back to the community, children from the Kasih Harapan orphanage in Kota Damansara were also invited to join the festivities, adding a heartwarming element to the day’s celebrations.

Collaborations with Maybank and Literacy Initiatives

As part of its expansion, THE STORY BOOK announced its partnership with Maybank for the FUNancial Literacy Program, an initiative that blends storytelling with financial education for children. Through this collaboration, Maybank and THE STORY BOOK will host sessions every two months, aimed at teaching young minds important financial concepts in an engaging and accessible way.

Datuk Hamirullah Boorhan, Head of Community Financial Services at Maybank, highlighted the importance of this initiative, noting, “Financial literacy is the foundation for building a resilient and sustainable community. This partnership represents a unique approach to making financial education accessible and engaging for all ages. By integrating financial concepts into captivating stories through our #FUNancial initiatives, we are not just imparting knowledge but nurturing a culture of financial empowerment that will resonate across generations”

In addition, THE STORY BOOK’s collaboration with Books for a Better World, a non-profit organization promoting literacy, will make pre-loved books available at their new location, encouraging visitors to explore the joy of reading through affordable means.

With this exciting relocation and its range of initiatives, THE STORY BOOK is set to become a central hub for storytelling, education, and community engagement at The Curve. Families can look forward to an enriching experience that blends fun and learning in one dynamic space.
