Single mother wins new home in CUCKOO contest

Factory worker Jubaidah Chan, a single mother from Selangor, received the surprise of a lifetime when she won a Grand Ion Majestic Serviced Apartment, worth over RM550,000, through CUCKOO International’s 2024 ‘Beli CUCKOO Menang Kondo’ contest. The win came after Jubaidah’s sons gifted her a CUCKOO BESPOKE Massage Chair to help ease her leg pains, unknowingly entering her into the contest. The apartment, located in Genting Highlands and developed by NCT Group, is now Jubaidah’s proudest possession and a symbol of hope for her family’s future.

“I couldn’t believe it — I even tried to convince my sons that it wasn’t real because it seemed too good to be true. I’ve never won anything in my life, so it was a huge shock. I feel so blessed to have such wonderful sons who gifted me the CUCKOO BESPOKE Massage Chair for my birthday, and then to be surprised with this grand prize. The contest’s first prize winner, Rabbani Syarwan, was awarded an Ion Belian Garden double-storey house, valued at over RM450,000. Rabbani, a family man, plans to turn the property into a vacation home near Genting Highlands.

“My wife and I have already researched the area where the house is located. It’s near Genting Highlands and offers attractions like hot springs, charming farms, and a beautiful recreational park. I’m eager to plan our next getaway there and create unforgettable memories with my family.” he said, excitedly anticipating future memories with his family.
