Happiness Mid-Autumn Charity Gala raises funds for children in need

The Happiness Mid-Autumn Charity Gala raised RM13,000 for Shan Fa Yuan Orphanage and House of Joy, uniting community leaders and philanthropists.

The Happiness Mid-Autumn Celebration Charity Gala Dinner, held at the Happiness Banquet Restaurant in Jaya Square, Subang Jaya, brought together community leaders, philanthropists, and the public for a heartwarming evening. The event was dedicated to raising funds for the Shan Fa Yuan Orphanage, which provides essential care and education to children in need.

The gala saw an impressive turnout of notable figures, including Mr. Alan Cheah, Mdm. Sherene Ng, Mr. Paul Yew, Dato’ Sri Dr. Tan Chin Woh, Datin Sri Dato’ Helen Kong, Dato’ Sri AB Tan, the founder of Shan Fo Yuan Orphanage, and Mdm. Lesley Mah, Principal of House of Joy Children’s Home. The night was filled with goodwill, as guests gathered to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival while contributing to the welfare of underprivileged children.

A Night of Generosity and Unity

One of the event’s key moments was the cheque presentation to Shan Fa Yuan Orphanage. A total of RM10,000 was donated to support the orphanage’s mission of providing shelter, education, and care for children in need. Dato’ Sri AB Tan, the founder, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the donors, highlighting the importance of community support in uplifting the lives of the orphanage’s residents.

In addition to Shan Fa Yuan Orphanage, the House of Joy Children’s Home also benefited from the evening’s generosity. Mdm. Lesley Mah, the Principal, received a RM3,000 donation, which will be used to support the daily needs and educational programs of the children at the home. The evening was made even more special by the presence of children from both homes, who participated in a group photo with the VIP guests.
