Carlsberg’s ‘World of Smooth’ ends with a bold finale

Carlsberg Smooth Draught’s ‘World of Smooth’ wrapped up its third year on 23 November 2024, delivering an unforgettable fusion of flavours, sounds, and experiences at the iconic Zhongshan Building in Kuala Lumpur. The event celebrated the effortlessly smooth moments that Carlsberg Smooth Draught promises, inviting visitors to savour the perfect harmony of ‘Real Smooth’ beer, fiery culinary delights, and pulsating beats.

“This year, we’re elevating it further with ‘Real Smooth’ beer, ‘Real Spicy’ bites, and the electrifying addition of ‘Real Beats’, making it bigger, bolder, and more exciting than ever,” said Olga Pulyaeva, Marketing Director of Carlsberg Malaysia. With its unique blend of experiences, the event showcased Carlsberg’s commitment to creating immersive, vibrant engagements for its consumers.

Collaborating with the creative collective Loka Made, the event’s highlights included exclusive merchandise, such as sleek laptop sleeves and chic tumblers, earned through interactive stations like Smooth Grooves and personalized photo opportunities at Smooth Moments.

The ‘World of Smooth’ was not just about the beer—it was a culinary and cultural extravaganza. Guests indulged in innovative dishes like Carlsberg-infused ice cream by Licky Chan, Spicy Polo Buns by Tommy Le Baker, and crowd favourites from Na Jie China BBQ, Warung Babi Guling Jenny, and Yat Tong Noodle.

Complementing the gastronomic delights were electrifying performances by international stars such as 24Herbs and MC Yan from Hong Kong, alongside local icons like Lapsap, DJ Jovynn, and Mr. Yang. Workshops, cooking demonstrations, and cultural exhibitions further added depth to the festivities, showcasing everything from Malaysian Cantonese heritage to insights on Hong Kong cinema.

The CarlsBar, another crowd favourite, offered mixology workshops inspired by iconic Hong Kong films, allowing attendees to craft cocktails that embodied the lively spirit of the event.
