FitFest 2024 unites 700 for dance, wellness, and charity

FitFest 2024 dazzled with dance fitness, cultural showcases, and philanthropy, uniting 700 participants for wellness and community impact.

FitFest 2024 debuted with an extraordinary showcase of dance fitness genres and global cultural performances, captivating the fitness and wellness community in Malaysia. Held at the StarXpo Centre, KWC Fashion Mall, the event brought together approximately 700 participants, all eager to experience the vibrant synergy between dance fitness and cultural traditions. The festival featured popular fitness styles like Zumba, Bollywood, K-Pop, FITHOP, Piloxing, and Pound Fit, alongside cultural showcases such as Silat Gayung and African Rhythms, symbolizing the integration of wellness with heritage.

Officiated by Malaysia International Tourism Development Association Deputy President, Prof. Datuk Azlie Halim, the event was spearheaded by the International Women’s Association Kuala Lumpur (IWAKL) in collaboration with Anita Entertainment. Sherrie Al-junied-Eitler, President of IWAKL, emphasized, “FitFest 2024 dedicated its proceeds to support philanthropic initiatives for the Orang Asli Clean Water Project and the Wisdom Path Integrated School for underprivileged refugees, embodying the spirit of giving back to the community.”

Vibrant Performances and Inspiring Unity

The performances at FitFest 2024 were nothing short of spectacular. The Silat Gayung Fatani Malaysia display and the African Rhythms Group brought an international cultural flavor that resonated deeply with the audience. Attendees were treated to star performances by renowned fitness instructors such as Muzry, Eleeza Zaaba, and Pound Pro Shakinah, who added their signature flair to each genre.

The camaraderie among the instructors stood out as a hallmark of the event. “I witnessed a true great team spirit, unity, and mutual support by everyone involved were heartwarming. These were admirable qualities of which has made everyone so special that have propelled us forward,” said Sherrie. The inclusion of local celebrities like Yantzen added to the fun, with participants of all ages joining in the dynamic dance sessions.

The collaboration between IWAKL and Anita Entertainment went beyond expectations by incorporating an intriguing biker element.
