United against the flood: MEXC rushes to support Malaysia’s disaster relief efforts

Malaysia has just experienced a devastating flood, forcing residents in multiple regions to evacuate. Critical infrastructure has been heavily damaged and life for those in affected areas has become a daily struggle.

Since entering the Malaysian market, MEXC has deeply appreciated the support of local users. Immediately after the disaster, MEXC’s Malaysia team established the “Malaysia Flood Relief Task Force” to coordinate resources and develop a relief plan. MEXC rapidly allocated 100,000 MYR to procure urgently needed supplies—food, drinking water, cleaning products, and other essential items—for affected communities.

On December 4 (local time), the “MEXC Malaysia Flood Relief Task Force” established contact with local relief organizations and personally undertook the procurement of supplies. Learning of their mission, staff at the supermarket where MEXC’s team were buying supplies voluntarily joined the loading teams to support the relief efforts. In preparing to transport relief materials, the MEXC team overcame every obstacle to rapidly purchase large volumes of supplies and coordinated delivery services to ensure that the emergency provisions could reach the affected areas as quickly as possible.

A representative from the “MEXC Malaysia Flood Relief Task Force” emphasized: “This is not just an act of material support but also an expression of care and solidarity with the people of Malaysia. Through concrete actions, we aim to deliver warmth and hope.”

Commitment to long-term recovery and support

Relief supplies have now been successfully delivered and are being distributed systematically to affected residents. MEXC will continue to monitor the distribution to ensure that every bit of assistance goes where it’s needed most. Concurrently, MEXC is maintaining close contact with Malaysian relief organizations to help people in disaster areas overcome challenges and contribute to post-disaster recovery efforts through concrete action.
