Resorts World Awana sets the stage for an exquisite Ramadan experience, inviting guests to partake in a lavish buka puasa buffet at Jom Makan Awana. This year’s Ramadan Buffet Warisan Awana, curated by Executive Chef Ahmad Rosnie, promises a nostalgic journey through traditional flavours, drawing inspiration from Malaysia’s rich culinary heritage and cherished family recipes.
Designed to offer a moment of respite from the bustling city, this grand buffet aims to encapsulate the essence of Ramadan through a sensory-rich dining experience.
Traditional Delights
Guests can expect an impressive array of dishes meticulously prepared to evoke the spirit of Ramadan. The buffet showcases a diverse spread of classic Malay favourites such as Gulai Ikan Tongkol, Rendang Tok, Pasembur Penang, Sotong Bakar, and Nasi Kandar, alongside indulgent seafood options like Seafood Shell Out. The centrepiece of the feast remains the Kambing and Daging Bakar, accompanied by the much-loved Sup Gearbox, a robust bone marrow soup known for its deep, comforting flavours.
Adding an element of authenticity, up to ten Lost Recipes sambal pastes and condiments have been specially re-created for the occasion. These unique sambals, often forgotten in modern cooking, promise to enhance the dining experience with their bold and distinctive tastes. To complete the meal, a wide selection of appetisers and desserts—including traditional local kuih—awaits diners, along with freshly made-to-order roti served with dhal curry, coconut chutney, and kesari.
Live Cooking Stations and Interactive Experiences
Beyond the extensive buffet selections, Jom Makan Awana continues its tradition of specialty live cooking stations, where culinary experts prepare hot, fresh dishes on the spot. These stations not only enhance the festive atmosphere but also allow guests to witness the artistry behind their meals. The vibrant marketplace-inspired setting, infused with the aromatic scents of heavily spiced dishes, transports diners to a bustling Ramadan bazaar, enriching the overall dining experience.
For those eager to secure a spot, early bird online bookings are available until 30th March 2025 at RM106 nett per adult and RM86 nett per child or senior citizen. Walk-in guests can also enjoy the buffet at RM118 and RM96, respectively. Reservations can be made via phone at +603 6436 9000 (ext. 7605) or via email at awanaf&[email protected].
