Hada Labo empowers single and retired mothers with digital skills through its CSR campaign, partnering with Ibupreneur and Watsons Malaysia.

Renowned Japanese skincare brand Hada Labo has once again demonstrated its steadfast commitment to societal upliftment with the continuation of its ‘Sending Love & Care to Society’ corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative. Now in its sixth consecutive year, the campaign has expanded its reach by focusing on empowering single and retired mothers—communities often grappling with financial instability—by equipping them with vital digital marketing and business skills.

Recognising the urgent need for economic sustainability in today’s digital-first economy, Hada Labo has partnered with Ibupreneur Malaysia, a social enterprise championing mothers’ entrepreneurship, and Watsons Malaysia, a leading health and beauty retailer. Together, they orchestrated a TikTok Business Workshop, enabling 100 mothers to leverage social media platforms for business development and long-term success.

Harnessing the power of TikTok

The TikTok Business Workshop marks a significant leap in Hada Labo’s initiative, offering hands-on training designed to demystify digital entrepreneurship for its participants. Mothers learned how to establish a strong online presence, create engaging content, and apply strategies for sustainable business growth through TikTok.

Beyond the classroom, Hada Labo launched a dedicated affiliate programme to support the mothers in their entrepreneurial journeys. This programme includes exclusive incentives and customised business frameworks tailored to foster real-world success.

RM50,000 raised to empower women

The heart of this year’s campaign lies in its innovative fundraising approach, seamlessly integrating consumer participation with social impact. From 6 March to 14 April 2025, RM1 from every sale of the Hada Labo Hydrating Cleansing Oil at Watsons Malaysia was allocated to support the initiative, culminating in a total of RM50,000 raised.

This model not only funds critical programmes but also encourages consumers to contribute to meaningful change through their everyday shopping habits. “At Ibupreneur, we are deeply committed to helping women break financial barriers by giving them access to the right resources and support,” shared Aida Zunaidi, Founder of Ibupreneur Malaysia. “This partnership with Hada Labo is a game-changer, as it provides these mothers with the opportunity to build their own businesses in the digital space.”

Impact that resonates beyond the classroom

Since the launch of the ‘Sending Love & Care to Society’ campaign, Hada Labo has touched the lives of 404 women beneficiaries, 2,040 marginalised individuals, 1,144 PPR families, and 500 elderly citizens. The brand’s long-standing tradition of fostering inclusivity and nurturing aspirations ensures that its impact will continue to ripple through the community for years to come.
