The Carlsberg Golf Classic (CGC), Malaysia’s most iconic amateur golf tournament, returns for its 32nd edition this year, promising an even grander experience for golf enthusiasts. With RM2.7 million in prizes up for grabs, 32 qualifying rounds across the country, and a prestigious National Final at the renowned West Course of Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC), CGC 2025 is shaping up to be its most exciting instalment yet.
“For over three decades, the Carlsberg Golf Classic has stood as a symbol of our dedication to the golfing community. It goes beyond the game – it’s about passion, friendships, and unforgettable moments shared on the green,” said Stefano Clini, Managing Director of Carlsberg Malaysia. “This year, we’re proud to raise the bar yet again with unmatched prizes and experiences. We believe great things happen when the love of golf meets the enjoyment of a perfectly brewed Carlsberg. That’s what makes it truly #BestWithCarlsberg.”
More than a tournament, CGC has become a cherished tradition among Malaysia’s golf fraternity — uniting players of all levels through inclusive, sociable, and well-organised events that combine competitive spirit with celebration.
Nationwide tour culminates at elite KLGCC Course
From June to October, over 3,600 amateur golfers will participate in 32 qualifying rounds across the nation, covering 16 clubs in Klang Valley, seven in the South, five in East Malaysia, and four in the North. The Southern region is further bolstered this year with the return of A’Famosa Golf Resort in Malacca to the tournament line-up.
Winners from each leg will progress to the highly anticipated National Final on 7 November at the KLGCC West Course — a professional-standard venue just days after it hosts the world’s top LPGA players. The opportunity to play on such a prestigious course cements CGC’s status as a pinnacle event for Malaysia’s amateur golfers.
Each leg of the tournament is crafted to deliver more than competition, blending the thrill of the game with moments of camaraderie, premium hospitality, and, of course, a refreshing Carlsberg to celebrate a great round.
Premium prizes elevate the stakes
CGC 2025 boasts its strongest sponsorship line-up to date. Making a headline debut this year is Auto Bavaria (BMW), offering two BMW iX2 xDrive30 M Sport models worth RM299,600 each as Hole-in-One prizes at the National Final — a bold nod to performance and prestige on and off the green.
Returning partners adidas, TaylorMade, and Garmin add further excitement with high-end golf gear and tech. Among the highlights:
- adidas Dress Like a PRO kit worth RM5,000
- TaylorMade Qi Diamana Blue Irons Set (RM7,600) and Sport Modern Cart Bag (RM1,490)
- Garmin’s Approach R50 Simulator & Launch Monitor (RM23,999), offering real-time performance data for serious golfers
Adding a splash of Italian flair, Vespa revs up the prize pool with a Vespa Primavera (RM19,900) for qualifying rounds and a Vespa Sprint (RM20,500) for the National Final. Winners also receive 12 cartons of Carlsberg. Meanwhile, Le Botanical, a natural sunscreen brand, ensures participants stay protected throughout their game under the sun.
From the first tee-off at Bukit Jawi Golf Resort in Penang to the climactic National Final in Kuala Lumpur, CGC 2025 promises to be a journey filled with competition, camaraderie and celebration — all made #BestWithCarlsberg.
