Connor’s Collective sets new record with 13-hour techno event

Connor’s Collective set a Malaysia Book of Records title with 13 hours of non-stop techno, blending music, art, fashion and bold self-expression.

Connor’s Stout Porter, the award-winning brew known for its half Union Jack label and bold flavour, has once again proven why it is Made to Be Different. Its latest campaign, Connor’s Collective, brought together more than 3,700 festivalgoers for an all-day immersive experience that set a Malaysia Book of Records title for the “Longest Non-Stop Techno Music Event”, running from 11:00am to midnight at Heritage Valley, Kuala Lumpur.

The 13-hour celebration fused music, culture, street fashion, and creative workshops into a vibrant showcase of non-conformity. More than 20 local and international acts lit up the main stage, culminating in a high-energy performance by Brazilian electronic artist Liu, who closed the night in electrifying fashion. On the side, the Skate Park Stage added a dose of local grit with groovy sounds, while guests refreshed themselves at the Mixology Bar with cocktails infused with Connor’s signature stout.

“It was a truly stout-standing celebration of doing things differently and staying true to what we stand for,” said Olga Pulyaeva, Marketing Director at Carlsberg Malaysia. “Connor’s was born to break conventions and prove that stout can be Made to Be Different. After earning a World Record last year, we kept that spirit alive with Connor’s Collective, setting a Malaysia Book of Records title for the “Longest Non-stop Techno Music Event”

Immersive experiences

The festival served as a multi-sensory canvas for creativity. Guests were invited to journey through The Great Blend of Four Malts, a cinematic walkthrough experience that brought Connor’s signature brewing story to life. The immersive exhibit ended at the Connor’s Bar, where fans engaged in the signature Shake & Sip ritual—shaking their cans before pouring, in true Connor’s fashion.

Festivalgoers also had the opportunity to take part in creative workshops and artistic expressions throughout the grounds. From getting personalised jagua tattoos by TATTmeNOT and crafting upcycled phone straps with Xue, to watching graffiti artist Yang create live art on the spot, the event celebrated self-expression at every corner.

Adding to the style quotient, the Connor’s x Doubleback streetwear collaboration made its debut at the event, offering an exclusive preview of limited-edition fashion pieces. In a special segment, Bryan Chin, founder of SneakerLAH, was interviewed by Peter Yong of MrMoneyTV, teasing the upcoming From Zero to CEO videocast series—a collaboration between Connor’s and MrMoneyTV spotlighting fearless entrepreneurial journeys.

Nationwide contest

Connor’s Collective marked the high point of a nationwide campaign to inspire bold self-expression. A key highlight is the launch of the Connor’s x Doubleback Duffleback Backpack, a sleek, streetwear-inspired hybrid item worth RM900. Fans can stand a chance to win one of 1,500 units in a contest valued at over RM1.3 million, activated across bars, cafés, supermarkets, convenience stores, Shopee and Grab—just by purchasing Connor’s products.

Connor’s is also taking its Shake & Sip ritual on the road, bringing it to over 120 locations across Malaysia. Limited-time vending machines are popping up in selected areas, offering fans the chance to win exclusive Connor’s merchandise with every purchase.

In a stout category often bound by tradition, Connor’s continues to carve out its own path. With its creamy, smooth profile and subtle coffee notes, this standout stout speaks to a new generation of trailblazers—those who live and celebrate unapologetically.
