Elmina Lakeside Mall, a retail gem developed by Sime Darby Property Berhad, kicked off its first anniversary with a spectacular Gala Night featuring the world-renowned Swiss Dream Circus. Held on August 1 under the iconic Big Top, the exclusive event wowed invited guests with a 2.5-hour world-class performance filled with daring stunts, aerial artistry, and theatrical flair. Headlining the show was Misha, a charismatic clown previously seen in Cirque du Soleil, supported by an international cast of 14 performers.
The Gala Night was further elevated by the presence of DYMM Tengku Permaisuri Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, adding royal glamour to the evening. The circus’ return to Malaysia with its all-new show titled Passion – The Greatest Show in Town marked a triumphant comeback, captivating the audience with exhilarating acts like the Wheel of Death, horizontal juggling, aerial duos, and lightning-quick costume changes.
Giving back to the community
True to Sime Darby Property’s dedication to social responsibility, the anniversary celebration wasn’t just a visual feast—it was a heartfelt outreach as well. The Group invited 125 children and caretakers from various welfare homes to enjoy the magical experience. For many, it was their first encounter with a live circus. Beneficiaries from homes such as Great Heart Charity Association and Rumah Kanak-Kanak Triniti were left in awe, experiencing a night filled with wonder and joy.
This initiative aligns with Sime Darby Property’s broader commitment to uplifting underserved communities in its townships, reinforcing the Group’s efforts to create inclusive and vibrant urban ecosystems. The anniversary event became not only a celebration of the mall’s growth but also a celebration of community connection and shared experiences.
A month of festivities ahead
The Gala Night marked the beginning of a month-long celebration at Elmina Lakeside Mall, with the Swiss Dream Circus running 27 public shows from August 2 to 24. Tickets start at RM49, with limited-time discounts available for early bookings. Beyond the circus, the festivities continue with a diverse line-up of arts, culture, and recreational events until September 14.

These activities are set to transform the mall and surrounding areas into a bustling hub for families and culture lovers alike.
