AdminMalaysia’s aspiring DJs are once again set to take the stage as Swift Talent Quest, Martell’s signature platform for music innovation, returns in 2025. The competition opens its nationwide call for entries, offering a bold stage for both new and established DJs to showcase their craft and push creative boundaries.
Backed by DJs Playground, the initiative continues its mission of being more than just a contest. With RM128,000 in prizes up for grabs — including a RM30,000 cash prize for the champion — the quest is positioned as a career launchpad for Malaysia’s most daring music talents.
“Swift Talent Quest is about more than just playing a good set,” said Liew Pooi Wan, Head of Marketing at Pernod Ricard Malaysia. “It’s about showing up with boldness, with vision, and pushing your own creative edge. This platform is for those ready to Soar Beyond The Expected.”
The 2024 edition attracted an overwhelming response, with four standout finalists eventually making it to the mainstage. Building on that momentum, the 2025 edition introduces tougher challenges and more unpredictable twists, cementing its role as a defining platform in Malaysia’s electronic music scene.
New challenges, Higher stakes
Unlike previous years, the 2025 contest raises the bar with surprise challenges designed to test versatility. From collaborations and genre flips to regional rave inspirations, DJs will face fresh tests in every round. Contestants won’t know their task until they advance, ensuring adaptability and originality are front and center.
The competition will unfold in stages:
- Swift Nights in October – preliminary rounds across Malaysia.
- Semi-Finals in November – narrowing down the boldest performers.
- Grand Finale in December – where one winner will be crowned Malaysia’s next fearless DJ.
The new format is designed not just to showcase technical ability but to measure how contestants respond under pressure, innovate in real-time, and captivate live audiences.
How to enter
Entry is straightforward but demands creativity:
- Prepare a 5-minute DJ set that captures your unique sound.
- Upload the mixtape video on Instagram or similar platforms with hashtags #MARTELLMY #NOBLIGE #SWIFTTALENTQUEST.
- Complete the official entry form at martell.com/en-my/talentquest.
- Shortlisted DJs will be invited to perform live during the Swift Nights preliminary rounds.
