High above the cool mountain air of Genting Highlands, the Mid-Autumn Festival will be marked this year with a renewed sense of wonder as Resorts World Genting unveils its 2025 Mooncake Collection. More than just seasonal indulgence, the collection brings together heritage, artistry and modern flair, offering both a comforting reminder of timeless traditions and an invitation to explore new culinary delights. Each mooncake is carefully handcrafted, blending nostalgia with contemporary inspiration to deliver flavours that resonate with both seasoned enthusiasts and first-time tasters.
This year, three inventive creations take the spotlight. The Chocolate Walnut Jingsa Lotus Paste offers a rich contrast of velvety lotus, bittersweet chocolate and roasted walnuts. A refreshing tropical twist comes with the Fresh Coconut Jingsa Lotus Paste, while the Golden Jade with Pineapple Paste Jingsa delivers a vibrant balance of sweetness and tang, symbolising prosperity, joy and the brightness of reunion. These new flavours reflect the festival’s evolving culinary landscape while holding true to the essence of tradition.
Enduring classics and festive elegance
While innovation adds excitement, the collection’s strength lies equally in its timeless favourites. The Lotus Paste with Single and Double Yolk mooncakes continue to represent completeness and prosperity, cherished by families across generations. The Ng Yan Assorted Nuts mooncake remains a textured classic, symbolising abundance and harmony, while the Red Bean Paste offers gentle sweetness for those who prefer understated comfort. For a lighter choice, the Low Sugar White Lotus Paste caters to health-conscious celebrations without losing its festive indulgence.
This year’s collection also coincides with Resorts World Genting’s 60th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee. To mark the occasion, an exclusive set priced at RM188 has been introduced, featuring eight distinct mooncakes in refined packaging. The curation includes flavours such as Golden Jade with Pineapple Paste Jingsa, Green Tea Lotus Paste and Pu Er Lotus Paste, embodying both variety and the spirit of festivity. Designed as a thoughtful gift, the set is positioned as a centrepiece of this year’s celebrations.
Mini mooncake sets, priced at RM68, present a more playful approach for those keen on exploring multiple flavours. Each set features five bite-sized pieces, encouraging sharing, discovery and conversation during reunions. Presented in premium boxes, these selections—whether standard-sized or mini—extend beyond personal indulgence to become elegant choices for festive gifting.
Gifting, promotions and seasonal joy
The 2025 Mooncake Collection is priced between RM20 and RM29 nett per piece, with premium packaging that enhances its appeal for gifting. Complementing the line-up are God of Wealth cookies, available at RM8 nett per pack of two, adding a symbolic and auspicious touch to the celebrations.
