Ooi Kok HinA Cleaner Greener Penang – is a direct contradiction to the recent intense housing development in Penang. An example is the project by Belleview Properties Group at Lebuhraya Thean Teik-Batu Lancang, Farlim.
This whole area used to be a green lung, filled with trees and
plantations. However, recent construction of three luxurious condominiums and a Giant store have cleared most of the trees.
School-going children and working adults are face a continuous nightmare with massive traffic every morning and evening. Plus, there are four schools in the vicinity of the area.
Where has the town planning gone wrong in Penang, or specifically in this case, Farlim?
