A special congregation and prayers has been organized at the Sri Kaliamman temple, Bukit Kantan, Ipoh for the students, who will be sitting for various national level examination later this year.
The parents who led their child during the prayer, made three circles around the temple with the offerings before passing it on to the priest to be placed at the main altar. Each child were then led to the main altar to be blessed by the head priest of the temple.
This special prayers normally organized at the temples towards the end of each year to boost the morale of the students before they sit for their examinations.
The standard six primary school students will be sitting for the Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) in the month of September, which will be followed on with the Penilaian Menengah Rendah and Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia in the month of October and November.
