Eight Lions Clubs in Johor Bahru and MAA-Medicare Sdn Bhd signed a Co-Operation Agreement in 1998 to jointly set up their first dialysis centre in Taman Century, Johor Bahru.

The cooperation between the participating Lions Clubs and MAA-Medicare Sdn Bhd has been highly successful, with the Lions taking care of patients’ welfare and patient selection while MAA-Medicare taking care of medical and technical areas of operation.

The number of participating Lions Club had gradually increased to 14.
