Raising funds for hemodialysis centre

The Amitabha Centre of Kulai is organising a ‘Avalokitesvara Grand Puja 2011’ and dharma assembly on April 22-24 at the Little Pratalaka in Kulai to raise funds for the expansion of their haemodialysis centre in Johor Bahru.

The Officer-in-charge of the Amitabha Centre, Jeffrey Lim, said that the haemodialysis centre currently has six dialysis machines and has been providing affordable kidney dialysis treatment to the lower income kidney patients for the last seven years without fail.

Due to the ever increasing requests for affordable kidney dialysis treatment offered by the centre, we have decided to expand the centre and increase another six units of dialysis machines to cater for their needs, he said.

He added that each dialysis machine cost about RM44,000. Well wishers and kind donors who wish to donate to this charitable cause can contact Chong (Mr.) at 07-238 0448 for more information or can visit their website at www.amitbhacentre.org.
