Little India’s growing pain

A century ago, the Malayan Railway had it’s headquarters here and most of the personnel who built and administer the national Railway Line came from India.

Many have settled down here and hence the nickname: Little India.

However, even with the visit of the Prime Minister of India to Brickfields may not save the Little India from being subsumed into the growing metropolis of Kuala Lumpur.

In this video, we spoke to a shop owner in Brickfields who has taken the modernisation and urbanisation of Brickfields in his own stride.
