Orchids glitter in Sabah

The Borneo Orchid Show was held at Suria Sabah, Kota Kinabalu from 1st to 5th of October 2010.

The exhibition showcasing Sabah’s ultimate floral beauty and pride has designated a centre piece attraction for hundreds of World Tourism Conference delegates happened to be held on the same days.

Many of the 20,000 visitors were foreign tourists. Sabah has more than half of the 1,800 species of native orchids found in Borneo. The slipper Orchid was chosen to be the official State orchid of Sabah.
